Man kills wife suspecting fidelity, arrested

The Saroornagar police on Wednesday arrested S Ramu on charges of killing his wife Soni at their house in Bhagath Singh Nagar last Tuesday. He suspected her fidelity and killed her, police said.

Soni (25) was married to S Ramu nine years ago, and the couple had three children.

According to the Saroornagar police, for the last few months, Ramu was picking up fights with Soni suspecting her fidelity. He harassed her both mentally



and physically. On late Tuesday evening, Ramu picked up an argument with Soni and beat her in front of their children.

“Following a heated argument, he throttled her with his hands and killed her,” police said.

A case for murder was booked and Ramu was taken into custody over strong suspicion. He confessed to the killing. He was produced before court and remanded in judicial custody.
