Man murdered while asleep

A 55-year-old man was killed by smashing his head with a boulder and later the body was abandoned near his farm on Wednesday night.The deceased was identified as Mekala Sayanna of Vemula village in Moosapet mandal.

According to the



police, some unidentified persons had whisked Sayanna away to an undisclosed place before committing the murder. 

Acting on a complaint, the police pressed a dog squad into service to trace the culprits.
