Man sexually assaults woman, held

A pharmacist was arrested by LB Nagar police for sexually abusing a 34year-old woman after giving her sedatives.

LB Nagar police said that 27-year-old K Girish in 2016 became acquainted with the woman and provided a hand loan of `1 lakh. “In November, the accused went to the victim's house on pretext of obtaining her signatures on surety papers. He mixed sleeping tablets in a cool drink. When she was drowsy , he raped the woman. He took



naked photos and videos and threatened to upload them. Thereafter, the accused insisted on her visit Ananthapur,'' DCP (LB Nagar) Venkateshwar Rao said.

He said Girish had rented a house in Ananthapur and confined the victim and abused her. He extorted gold ornaments, pledged them at HDFC Bank, Ananthapur, and took loan of `1.10 lakh. The accused was produced in a local court and he was sent to judicial remand.
