A fight over money between two friends resulted in a private sector employee, 28, being stabbed to death in Kalapathar area. The deceased is Mohd Mohsin Ahmed and the accused is Mohd Aamir (22). According to police, Ahmed had borrowed Rs.25,000 from Aamir, who works in a mutton shop.
“When Aamir was going to Jeddah in search of a job, Ahmed asked him for a loan of Rs.25,000. When Aamir returned to Hyderabad as he failed to find a job overseas, he asked for his
money back but Ahmed was dilly-dallying,” said Kalapathar inspector, Kanakaiah.
On Monday, both the friends met in a stable at around 10pm to resolve the issue. Police said as Aamir was carrying a knife, they suspect the murder was pre-planned. “After a heated argument, Aamir stabbed him on his left thigh,” said the inspector. Ahmed died while undergoing treatment. “Aamir is on the run,” added the inspector.
