Saharanpur: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly killed his wife a year after marriage and later committed suicide in Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday.
The incident took place in Dharampur Saravagi village under Deoband police station. The accused also left a suicide note before allegedly killing himself.
In his suicide note, the man reportedly said he is killing his wife and then ending his life. The accused has been identified as 25-year-old Dalip Kumar, according to a report in Hindi daily Dainik Jagran.
Dalip Kumar first strangled his wife to death and later hanged himself following a family dispute.
Dalip's father died some years ago and his mother was living with him. For some days, Dalip was having a dispute with his wife

On Thursday morning, Dalip sent his mother to his maternal uncle. At home were his wife and a 10-day old son. When the couple did not come out of the house the entire day, neighbours visited their house to know about their well being.
They were shocked to see Dalip hanging while his wife was lying dead on the ground. The neighbours later alerted police. Deoband CO Rajnish Upadhaya and SHO Yogesh Verma reached the spot.
"In the suicide note, Dalip allegedly mentioned that he was disturbed over the family dispute and strangles his wife and later committed suicide. Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem," Additional SP(Rural) Atul Sharma said.
