A minor girl was allegedly gang-raped by two youth at Ibrahimpur thanda in Vikarabad district three days ago. The incident came to light on Thursday with police arresting the two culprits.
Vikarabad police said the incident took place three days ago when the victim was at a farm in Ibrahimpur thanda. N Srinivas, an acquaintance of the victim, saw the minor and allegedly took her away forcibly and attempted to rape her. As she started screaming, Srinivas gagged her by stuffing cloth into her mouth and then violated her.
Later, Sunil joined Srinivas and he too raped the victim. After the incident, the two culprits warned her not
to disclose the incident and threatened her of dire consequences.
The victim, however, shared her grief with her family members and they brought the issue to the notice of the village head, who tried to resolve the issue, but since he failed, the victim’s mother approached police on Wednesday and lodged a complaint. Based on the complaint, the victim was sent for medical examination, while the two culprits were taken into custody and later they were arrested.
Vikarabad superintendent of police Anapoorna said one of the accused is known to the victim and investigation was being done by Pargi police.
