Parents kill daughter for honour in Adilabad District

In a ghastly incident, parents, in the name of honour killing, strangulated their daughter to death in Neragonda mandal headquarters in the Adilabad district on Friday.

Going into details, the parents, Chouhan Lakshman and Chandrakala decided to kill their daughter Akhilapriya when she fell in love with Mahender who belonged to a different caste,



much against their wishes.

Speaking to the media, Bodh Circle Inspector of Police Nagendra said that cases have been booked against the parents and the grandmother for involving in the murder and investigation was taken up. He said that Mahender was also taken into custody for interrogation. The murder has sent shockwaves in the district.
