The Cyberabad police have
arrested five members of the nine-member gang involved in the sensational
Muthoot Finance heist at Beeramguda on the city outskirts last month.
Posing as CBI officials, the
inter-State gang had taken away nearly 46 kgs of gold in a daring operation on
December 28. Since then, the criminals have been eluding the dragnet spread by
the Cyberabad police and also the police from
neighbouring States.
According to the police, five
members were caught from villages on the borders of Telangana and Maharashtra
and around 3.50 kg of robbed gold and Rs.10 lakh cash was seized from
them.
The gang members are to be
presented before the media on Sunday afternoon.
