The Jeedimetla police have found the body of a man hacked into pieces and stuffed in a gunny bag in a house in Chandranagar late on Wednesday night. 

According to the police, the incident came to light after the house owner noticed a foul smell from a tenant’s room on the first floor of the building. The door was locked from outside. 

He immediately informed the police who rushed to the spot along with a CLUES team.

per preliminary investigation, the police said, the body is suspected to be of the tenant, whose identity is being verified.“He was killed nearly one week ago. The body was chopped in to pieces and stuffed in a gunny bag,” an official said, adding that however, only the head and abdomen portion of the body was found. The hands and legs were missing.

Police have shifted the body to the Osmania General Hospital for autopsy and a case has been booked.
