Rape accused Falahari Baba arrested in Alwar, girl's father says 'faith in him has hurt us'

The CBI court verdict holding Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim guilty of rape in a 15-year-old case gave courage to Bilaspur law student to register case against another self-styled godman Falahari Baba of Alwar.

Alwar police has arrested rape accused Kaushlendra Prappanachari, better known as Falahaari Baba today. He was taken into custody from the private hospital, where he was admitted. He was taken to government hospital for his medical check-up. 

Alwar police has constituted a medical board of doctors to carry out tests on Falahaari Baba, who has been named accused in a



rape case. The complaint was lodged by girl - a law student and whose parents were followers of the self-styled godman for years.

According to the complaint, the girl was allegedly assaulted on August 7 at the Alwar ashram of Falahari Baba, who got this name because of his fruit-based dietary habit. He claims to have been living on fruits for past 25 years.

Alwar Additional SP Paras Jain said, "The case that was registered under Section 376 and Section 506 of the IPC against the Baba. The Alwar police arrested the Baba and brought him to government hospital for getting the medical done."
