Retd IPS officer’s daughter threatens media of legal action

Eunice Chawngthu, daughter of C. Dothanga, IPS (Retd) here on Tuesday alleged that Telangana Youth Congress president Tirumalesh Naidu’s family members, son of a former MLA of Karimnagar, wife of a retired SI and sister of a serving SI of Adilabad have threatened her regarding a pigeon hanging to her door.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, Eunice Chawngthu said, “Some TV news channels without taking my permission shot my personal life at my apartment, which was irresponsible journalism. It caused me deep hurt and mental agony”. She explained that she



doesn’t communicate with the residents of the apartment because they cannot speak in English or Hindi.

Eunice Chawngthu lamented that the house owner Parvathi Devi asked her to vacate the premises on flimsy grounds that she needed the flat for her daughter-in-law. The apartment doesn’t have a registered society and involved in litigation and a case was pending before the Hyderabad High Court. She also alleged that residents of the Apartment complex were harassing her because she was living alone.

“This is nothing but racism and discrimination against single women. I faced an attack on my life on November 27, 2015. The Banjara Hills police not only failed to take action against the accused but they filed an FIR against me. The residents have been pestering me for being daughter of a retired IPS officer”, she bemoaned.
