Gurugram; A man in Gurugram, who allegedly murdered four people within 1.5 hours on Tuesday morning, went to the police station after the killings and surrendered before the cops. The accused allegedly killed his daughter-in-law, tenant, his wife and their nine-year-old daughter. The couple's younger daughter was also attacked by the accused and she is undergoing treatment at a hospital.
The deceased have been identified as Sunita Yadav, Krishan Tiwari and his wife Anamika Tiwari. The accused, Rao Rai Singh Yadav - who is a retired Army subedar - allegedly used a knife meant for pruning plants to murder the victims.
Accused bolted all doors, murdered daughter-in-law and tenants
Reportedly, Yadav suspected that his daughter-in-law was in a relationship with Krishan Tiwari. At around 2.30 am on Tuesday, the accused bolted all the doors of the house and went to his daughter-in-law's room on the first
floor. After killing Sunita, the accused went to the second floor where he murdered his tenant and his family, Hindustan Times reported.
As per the cops, none of the neighbours heard any commotion due to the noise from air coolers. DCP Deepak Saharan said, "It was a sudden attack and Rao took everyone by surprise, giving them no time to react.
After murdering four persons by 4 am, the accused went to the Rajendra Park police station and confessed to four murders. A police team rushed to Yadav's residence after being apprised and recovered the bodies at around 7 am.
The DCP added, "A three-year-old girl, who had suffered multiple stab injuries, was breathing when the teams reached. She was immediately sent to a hospital. Later, she was referred to Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital where the doctors described her condition as critical. We are questioning Singh, his wife, and son, who are also suspects. "
