Bhopal: A man in Datiya, Madhya Pradesh, allegedly murdered his wife as he was upset with the taste of a chutney she had prepared. The accused, who runs a tea stall on the highway, had asked his wife to prepare snacks and chutney for the shop. The man, however, was not satisfied with the taste of the chutney and he flew into a fit of rage.
The man questioned his wife about the chutney and allegedly killed her when she answered back. The couple's children were at the shop when the incident took place.

The incident unfolded at a village in the Datiya district. The accused was identified as Anand Gupta. Gupta used to take samosas and other snacks prepared at his home and used to sell them at his shop. On Sunday, he asked his wife

When the man tasted the chutney, he found that it was tasteless and allegedly grew furious, Aaj Tak reported. He told his wife that if he served the same chutney to his customers, they would stop coming to the stall. Preeti allegedly argued with Gupta and the same angered him even more.
Accused still on the run
He allegedly attacked his wife on the head and head, leading to severe injuries. Preeti's mother-in-law made an attempt to intervene but the accused continued raining blows on her. After the incident, someone called Dial 100 and alleged that a man had murdered his wife. When the police learned about the incident, a team went to the spot and saw Preeti's blood-soaked body. The accused managed to flee before the cops could nab him.
