Hyderabad: The KPHB police busted a sex racket running in the guise of a spa and arrested seven persons on Wednesday. Officials also rescued three women.
The arrested persons were Syed Akbar Ali (27), an organiser from KPHB, K Raj Kumar (25), receptionist, J Shiva (24), therapist, T Amar (28), therapist from Nepal, D Rajender (25), helper from KPHB, Shaik Farooq Basha (40), a native of Nepal and Ch Venu (25), a site engineer and customer from Yousufguda.
According to the police,
Akbar Ali, the prime suspect, was organising prostitution in the name of a spa in a rented flat at KPHB, Road No 1 for the last few months. “His associates bring customers to the spa and after collecting money, allow them to participate in sexual activities with the women, who were lured into the flesh trade with promises of huge money,” an official said.
The arrested persons were produced before court while the women were sent to a rescue home for rehabilitation.
