SHE Teams arrested four persons for harassing women in Hyderabad

The Hyderabad She Teams have arrested four persons on charges of harassing women in separate incidents.

In the first incident, a woman had approached the She Teams saying her daughter was being harassed by man with messages from different phone numbers. He claimed they had an affair earlier and that he had private pictures. He was also maligning her character and disturbing her, especially after she got married recently. The She Teams nabbed the suspect, E. Venkateswarlu, of Medak, from near LB Stadium.

In another case, a 51-year-old man, G. Harry Paul of Kothapet was arrested for obscene acts in public from near the Dilsukhnagar bus stop. He was produced before court, after which he was sentenced to three days in jail with a fine of



Rs.50.

In the third case, a woman approached the She Teams complaining against a person, Sohail of Hafezbaba Nagar, with whom she was earlier in contact. Sohail, she said, had heard of her engagement and tried to talk her out of it, saying he wanted to marry her. He had called her would-be husband and informed him of his relationship with the petitioner and even sent her pictures. This resulted in the marriage being called off. He had also threatened to kill her father. He was arrested and handed over to the Begum Bazaar police for further action.

In the fourth incident, Thakur Amit Singh of Amberpet was arrested after a woman approached the She Teams saying he was sending her abusive messages and making threat calls.
