Yet another case of sexual harassment has emerged from Delhi University where a third-year student of B.A. Hindi (Hons) approached the vice-chancellor alleging that a professor asked his students to kiss and hug him.
The third-year student alleged that the professor used to send her lewd messages and made vulgar calls until she confronted him and recorded the incident.
In a letter to VC, she has stated that 'When I confronted him in a college classroom, he accepted all the allegations and said he can give an explanation. He even begged me to not to raise the issue as he is a married man having a
child,' the girl said in the letter. She also sent a Compact Disc (CD) with the recording of the incident to the VC.
I am being constantly threatened by the teacher that I shall be suspended and a case will be filed against me. My career is at stake. Kindly look into the matter,' she added. Despite several attempts, the VC's office did not respond for a comment.
