Student commits suicide in Hyderabad

A 21-year-old engineering student allegedly committed suicide in his hostel room in Hyderabad on Monday.

The student from BITS Pilani, Raghav Shantaram, hailed from Chennai and was pursuing third-year student in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE).He was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his room by a friend at around 1:45 pm on



Tuesday morning in the institute's Hyderabad campus.

According to the police, there was no suicide note found and that his friends had informed that Raghav had failed in one subject but are not sure if this was the cause for him to take the extreme step.A case has been registered and the police are investigating further.
