Cuddalore: In yet another horrific incident, three people including two teenagers allegedly gang-raped a woman after brutally assaulting her boyfriend at a deserted building in the Cuddalore district on Monday.
At around 11 pm on Monday, the victim was spotted standing at a bus stop by a police patrol team at Semmandalam, DSP (Cuddalore) Karingal Pari Shankar said. When she was found crying, police were informed that she had been allegedly raped.
Following the alleged crime, police arrested J Sabari alias Kishore (18), N Sathish (19) and S Arif (24) on Tuesday, The Times of India reported.
According to the DSP, the woman is an employee at a private company and used to meet her lover at an abandoned building near the bus stop after the office.
The
couple’s daily activity was closely monitored by the accused. At around 9 pm on Monday, when the 21-year-old woman met with her boyfriend, the three accused forced the couple into a deserted building.
The DSP said that the accused first robbed them, then two of the accused assaulted her boyfriend and the woman was raped by the other accused.
The DSP also said that the accused had threatened if they would reveal the incident, it would lead to dire consequences. The woman was dropped at the bus stop and her boyfriend, who assured of filing a complaint the next day, the DSP added.
The woman was immediately taken to a hospital with the help of policewomen and a patrol team. The woman has been admitted to the Cuddalore Government General Hospital for treatment.
