Telugu filmmaker arrested in Hyderabad for human trafficking

A 30-year-old Telugu movie assistant director and his accomplice, said to be an artist, were arrested by the Rachakonda police on charges of human trafficking.

According to the Ghatkesar police, three victims, including a movie artist and beautician, were rescued during a special operation carried out on Thursday midnight. Ghatkesar Inspector B Prakash said the



suspects arrested were Rajashehkhar Reddy and Y Ravi Kumar.

“Based on a tip-off that an unknown gang was running a sex racket through online, the Special Operations Team conducted an operation and caught the suspects red-handed at Venkatadri Township,” he said.

A case was booked and the probe is going on.
