The Rachakonda Cybercrime police held a man for harassing woman on social media

The Rachakonda Cybercrime police on Monday arrested a youngster from Nirmal district on charges of harassing a woman on social media.

The arrested person, K Praneeth Kumar (25), a private employee from Sarangapur mandal in Nirmal, had become with the victim on Instagram and started chatting. However, due to misunderstandings between them, she stopped responding to his messages and this angered



Praneeth.

“He created several fake Instagram profiles of hers and posted derogatory posts. He also threatened her of posting her private pictures on social media,” said an official.

Based on a complaint, the cybercrime police booked a case and with the help of technical evidence, identified and nabbed Praneeth. He was brought to Hyderabad and remanded in judicial custody.
