Hyderabad: A 38-year-old trader was stabbed to death in a lodge under KPHB police station limits, in the early hours of Monday. KPHB police said the victim, V. Praveen, had checked into the lodge along with his luggage on October 28.
On Sunday evening a person who identified himself as P. Srinivas, 35, asked the lodge manager permission to meet Praveen. Praveen asked the manager to send Srinivas to his room.
The staff of the lodge Monday morning
grew suspicious when Praveen did not open the door, and informed the police. The police opened the room door with a master key provided by the hotel and found Praveen lying in a pool of blood, with knife injuries.
Following preliminary investigation, police suspected financial disputes to be the reason behind the murder. The victim’s bag was reportedly missing. Police has sent a team to Praveen’s given address.
