Two dead bodies found hanging after a month in Ananthagiri forest

Police recovered the two bodies of a middle-aged male and female in a highly decomposed state where only their heads remain hanging from the tree. The rest of their bodies have disappeared except their backbones. Police found a motorcycle and a purse near the bodies. Using the registration number of the bike, police contacted the owner, who confirmed that one of his family members,Mahender, 28, went missing and took his vehicle.

information given by Mahender’s family, police came to know that one 23-year-old Shiva Leela of Kotpally, a daily-wage worker, was also missing and her family members had lodged a missing complaint on April 6. “As per the missing complaint lodged by Shiva Leela’s family, they suspected the hand of mason Mahender in her disappearance.

Police suspect that they might have committed suicide at least a month ago. Police are investigating from various angles.
