Two minor girls were allegedly raped by their cousin at a village in neighbouring Chitrakoot district, police said on Thursday.
The young ladies, matured seven and eight, were playing outside their home on Wednesday evening when their 32-year-old cousin supposedly took them to a disconnected spot and assaulted them in a town under the Rajapur police headquarters, SHO
Gulab Chandra Tripathi said.
On hearing cries of the young ladies, local people hurried to the spot however by then the blamed had gotten away, said Tripathi, including a case has been enlisted on the protest of the casualties' family.
Raids are being conducted to nab the accused and the girls have been sent for a medical examination, he added.
