Hyderabad: The city police caught two persons who were organising cricket betting at Golconda on Sunday and seized Rs 20,000 cash and a mobile phone from them. Acting on a tip off, the Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force (west) team nabbed Susheel Singh (39) of Golconda and Anil Singh (40) of Mangalhat at Golconda. “The two persons were collecting money from punters directly or through e-wallet and organising betting for the ongoing IPL matches,” said the police. They were handed over to the Golconda police station for further action.
In
another case, the Commissioner’s Task Force (west) team caught one person Madduri Sudhakar (36) of Borabanda for organising cricket betting on Sunday. “Sudhakar of Vinayakanagar in Borabanda was organising cricket betting from his house and accepting bets over cell phones for the ongoing IPL matches,” said the B Gattu Mallu, Inspector Task Force. The police seized Rs 13,000 and one mobile phone from him. The man along with the seized property was handed over to the SR Nagar police station for further action.
