Two women passengers were detained by custom officials at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Shamshabad for allegedly possessing gold biscuits worth over Rs.75 lakhs on Wednesday night.
Sources said the women had come from Jeddah and were supposed to hand over
the gold smuggled by them to a person in Hyderabad. However, they were intercepted and detained.
The customs officials are questioning the women to get more information about the contacts to whom they were supposed to hand over the gold here.
