Two women gangraped in a car in Hyderabad

The Hayatnagar police on Monday registered a case against three unidentified persons for abducting two women and raping them by turns in a car.Around 2.15 am, three men in a car offered to drop two women, aged 33 and 30, waiting near Sai Baba temple, Dilsukhnagar, at Hayatnagar, police said.

“Once the women boarded the car, the three men started misbehaving with them. The 30-year-old woman was terrified. The three accused stopped the vehicle at some distance and raped the women taking turns,“ Hayatnagar inspector Narender Goud said, adding the trio fled from the spot after robbing the women. Goud said they got to know about the incident after



the women called `Dial 100' and complained about the issue.The police said the women were raped between 2.30am and 3.00am in the Hayatnagar police limits.

Police said there were inconsistencies in the victims' story as they had given different versions. During the course of an investigation, police had discovered that the women boarded the car only after striking a deal with the men that they would be paid Rs 5,000 each.

Nevertheless, police said a case was booked under various sections of IPC for kidnap, wrongly confinement, outraging the modesty of women and rape against the trio.
