Hyderabad: A 34-year-old woman from Ongole who came to Hyderabad a week ago was found dead in her rented flat at Banjara Hills on Wednesday night.
Anuradha was not answering calls since two days. One of her relatives came to Hyderabad to see her on Wednesday. When he went to the flat along with the police she was found dead. Police suspect that she committed suicide by consuming poison.
Anuradha, 34, who had a love marriage a few years ago, got divorced and was staying with her parents at Ongole. She became depressed over her broken marriage, police said.
When she became normal she decided to prepare for IELTS and came to Hyderabad on October 1. She rented a
flat at HR Residency. She was in touch with her family till last Sunday and had a conversation with her brother on Whatsapp on Sunday night. Her brother Raghuveer is working with Canara bank at Mumbai.
When he called her on Monday morning, she did not respond. On Wednesday, he asked his relative Mahesh to check on her. “Mahesh and the watchman went to the flat and found it was latched from inside and a foul smell was coming from inside. They alerted police,” said SI Krishnaiah.
Police broke open the door and found her dead. Police suspects that she vomited blood as she had taken poison. Police registered a case and handed over the body to the family for postmortem.
