Woman found murdered at Mailardevpally

A woman, Fatima Begum, 49, was found murdered in bushes at Mailardevpally on Thursday . Cops suspect that she may have been raped too.

The police said Fatima left her Hasan Nagar house on Wednesday morning, but did not return. On Thursday morning, locals found her half-naked body in the bushes.

Fatima's face was crushed with a boulder. Her



face was badly damaged. The police identified the victim based on a photocopy of her Aadhaar card. “The victim had the habit of carrying a comb, a mirror, passport size photos and ID proof. Her family said that she deserted her husbandlong back,“ Mailardevpally inspector P Jagadeeshwar said. Her family told cops that she was an alcoholic and used to frequent a local toddy shop.
