Woman gangraped in Mathura

A pilgrim was allegedly gangraped by two men near Mahuvan village here, police said.

According to her complaint, Sanjay Sharma, a clerk in ARTO office in Morena, and his associate last evening raped her in a field at the outskirt of the village.

Sharma met the woman, also a resident of Morena, at a temple in Vrindaban and offered to drop her home in his car as he was also going to Morena, the police said quoting the



complaint.The woman and Sharma were accompanied by his associate, as per the report.

On reaching the outskirt of the village, they started harassing her. She was then dragged into a field, where they raped her and then fled from there, according to the police report.

On the basis of her complaint, an FIR was registered in the matter.She has been sent for a medical examination, the police added.
