Woman techie found hanging at residence in Hyderabad

A female IBM employee committed suicide at her residence in Aparna Gardenia, Chandanagar, on Sunday. The woman, identified as G Rekha was found hanging from the ceiling at her residence. As per the reports, the woman took the extreme step as she was unable to deal with her husband’s harassment.

The police informed that G Rekha and her husband Ujjwal are software engineers at IBM in Gachibowli and the couple attended a party reportedly organized by their company on Saturday night. However, they got into an argument during the party and returned home at around 11.30



pm.

They both slept in different rooms and Ujjwal woke up on Sunday morning to find Rekha hanging from the ceiling.

Rekha’s parents lodged a complaint in Chandanagar police station, accusing her husband of harassing their daughter for financial matters.Based on the complaint, a case was registered against Ujjwal under Section 306 (abatement to suicide) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). 

The police found a suicide note in which she didn’t specify the reason for her suicide nor fix responsibility against her husband.
