Bhubaneswar: As many as 30,000 aspirants from Odisha appeared in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) exam held today in three cities of State- Bhubaneswar, Berhampur and Rourkela.
The national level entrance exam was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for admissions into medical and dental courses across the country.
The students expressed pleasure after attending the test even as they faced some questions out of syllabus. They have hoped a good
result.
Earlier on Sunday, the exam begun amid strict supervision and security at 10 am till 1 pm.
CBSE had earlier introduced new rules for the entrance test this year like mandatory Aadhaar card, age limit cap of 25 for unreserved and 30 for reserved categories, a maximum of three chances to clear the exam. Besides, for the first time students from the State got an opportunity to take the test in Odia language.
NEET result is set to be declared on June 8, 2017.
