Chief Minister of Telangana State, K Chandrasekhar Rao has declared that any student seeking admission in any foreign university will be eligible to get scholarship under Minorities overseas scholarship scheme and the maximum income limit for it and for Shaadi Mubarak Scheme will be Rs. 5 lakh. Relaxing these conditions, orders will be issued soon. He was addressing a review meeting of the Department of Minorities Welfare. He advised the officials to complete the process of recruiting 66 Urdu translators in 50 days time.

attended by Mr. Mahmood Ali, Mr. Rajiv Sharma, Mr. Naveen Mittal, Ms. Smita Sabharwal, Mr. A.K. Khan, Mr. Omer Jaleel, Mr. Mohammed Saleem, Mr. Amer Shakeel, Mr. Shafiullah, Prof. Shukoor and Mr. M.A. Mannan.
He instructed the officials to conduct all competitive exams in Urdu. A special team led by Mr. K. Sri Hari will visit Maharashtra along with Mr. A.K. Khan and Mr. Omer Jaleel to study the developments of Urdu schools in that State. He asked the officials to include overseas scholarship scheme in green channel.
