Deputy Chief of US Mission in India, Michael P. Pelletier told in Hyderabad that Indian students in America do not face any major problem. He gave this statement in the wake of sending back the Indian students by American Universities recently. He further told that the matter already been sorted out. He mentioned that Indian students are always welcomed in America but the documents of the Indian students should be correct.
He informed that there are five stages for granting
students’ visa to Indian students. In America, 9000 educational institutions have the facility to issue I-20 forms. He advised the students of A.P. and Telangana to select only reputed educational institutions in America and maintain transparency in their documents. Among the foreign students, India is placed second. In the year 2014-15 as many as 1,32,888 Indian students sought admissions in American universities as a result of which American economy was benefited to the tune of $3.6 billion.
