Officials of the Education Department assured Telangana Minorities Commission that 52 closed Urdu medium schools would be reopened as early as possible.
The District Education Officer also assured to discontinue the practice of running more than one school on one premises by shift system and also assured to shift the students of Asif Nagar Urdu Medium School to a suitable premises in Vijaynagar colony by evicting the revenue
office.
The panel held the meeting with the officers of Education Department to resolve certain grievances submitted by Nayeemullah Shareef, president of Telangana Educational Development Foundation and Mohammed Fareeduddin, representing Madaris Federation Education and Welfare Society. The grievance were closure of 52 Urdu medium schools and running schools in shift system apart from insufficient basic amenities.
