Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari, who also holds Education portfolio, on Sunday released digital version of the annual examination results of Intermediate first and second year at the office of the Board of Intermediate Education at Nampally here.As usual, girl students outshone the boys in both the first and second year examination results. While the pass percentage in the first year Intermediate examination was 57, it was 66.45 per cent in the second year.
In the first year examination, while 4,75,874 appeared for the examinations, 2,70,738 students passed, achieving six per cent more passes than the previous year. In the second year examination, while 4,14,213 appeared for the exam, only 2,75,273 students got through and achieved three per cent more passes than last year.The Deputy Chief Minister said Medchal (Malkajgiri) district topped in the first year results followed by Ranga Reddy at the
second place and Mahabubabad district stood at the last place.
In the second year results, Medchal District ranked first, Ranga Reddy second place and Nirmal, Gadwal and Mahabubabad remained at the bottom.It may be mentioned here that the first and the second year Intermediate examinations were held from March 1 to 17 and 9.76 lakh students from all over the State appeared for the exams. This year, 4.75 lakh more students appeared for the first year examination and five lakh more in the second year examination than the previous year. Second year examinations began on March 2 and continued till March 19.
The Deputy Chief Minister said instant supplementary examinations would held to ensure that the failed students do not lose academic year. He said that the fee for the supplementary examinations can be paid from April 22 and examinations would be held from May 15.
