Number of students passing Telangana SSC exam went up by a whopping 8 per cent, registering 85.63 per cent compared to 77.56 per cent last year.
The results, declared by Education Minister Kadiyam Srihari, revealed that Warangal topped the list with 95.13 per cent of students passing the exam while Hyderabad figured at the bottom with 76.23 per cent.
Mr. Srihari said that 2,379 schools secured 100 per cent success while 10 schools registered zero per cent results. Among
the 5.19 lakh candidates who appeared for the exam only 3,419 students secured the 10 Grade Point Average (GPA) and among them 3,311 candidates were from private schools.
The supplementary exams will be held from June 15 to 29. Students who wish to get their marks recounted have to pay Rs. 500 per subject while those who wish for re-verification of their answer scripts have to pay Rs. 1,000 per subject.
