Academic calender for the academic year 2018-19 released

Telangana school education department has release the academic calendar for the academic year 2018-2019 on Wednesday. The schools will reopen on June, 1, 2018 and the students will get summer vacation from April 13, 2019 to May 31, 2019.

The schools are instructed to complete their syllabus for all subjects for Class X by January 10, 2019 and the revision classes and pre-finals should be conducted before commencement of SSC board examinations.

The syllabus for Classes I and IX is to be completed by February 28, 2019. The revision and



remedial teaching and preparation for SA-2 exam will be during the month of March 2019. Schools are advised to send the selected state teams to the national games which will start from October 2018 onwards and all the games will be completed before October 2018.

The high school timings will start from 9:30am to 4:45pm where as upper primary schools will be from 9am to 4pm and the primary schools and upper primary schools working in the high school campus should follow the high school timings.
