The National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language has issued prospectus and admission form for its two-year diploma in ‘Calligraphy and Graphics Design’. Students between the age of 15 to 35 years can apply for admission at the Calligraphy and Graphic Design Training Centre, Idara-e-Adabiyat-e-Urdu at Panjagutta in person. The last date for application is June 30.
The course is devised to preserve and
promote the art of calligraphy and graphic design in order to meet the expanding needs of Urdu print publishing industries. The batch will allow only 25 students. A committee of trained instructors examine Urdu writing skills of the applicants, and interview them in person. The diploma awarded is issued by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development.
