The online registration and choice filling process for admission to Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), National Institute of Technology (NIT), International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) among other governmentfunded technical institutes (GFTI) will begin from Thursday , 10am.
As per the schedule released by IIT-Madras, students can register for their preferred institutes till June 26 following which the first phase of seat allotment will be made on June 28. Students allotted seats in the first phase have to accept their seat between June 29 and July 3.
Candidates who qualified in the joint entrance examination (JEE advanced) will be eligible to be a part of the centralised online counselling process via
http:www.josaa.nic.in. Candidates have to login using their JEE (Main) 2017 roll number and password. No fee will be charged to fill their choices.After the registration, candidates will have to fill the preferred branch and institu tes of their choices in descending order. Help centres and reporting centres have been set up at select participating institutes to provide guidance on this process, as well as for reporting after seat allocation.
There are 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 23 IIITs and 20 other government-funded technical institutes (other-GFTIs) across the country . It may be recalled that as many as 7,505 students from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh qualified in the JEE (Advanced), the results of which were declared on June 11.
