Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has warned the YS Jaganmohan Reddy lead government for going ahead with examination amid the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic. Andhra Pradesh is witnessing a sharp surge in Covid-19 cases and mortality.

While speaking to thousands of students, parents, academics, and activists in a Digital Town Hall, TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh condemned the government for deciding to hold 10th and Inter exams as

planned.

''Putting 15 lakh students and 1 lakh teachers at deadly risk,'' said Lokesh while commenting on how he questioned himself if he would send his own kid Devansh to exams if he was in Class 10.

''This wasn't a political exercise but a humanitarian request to the government, especially when children and youth below 30 years made up 20-40 per cent of the Covid-19 cases this time, '' added the opposition leader.
