The Andhra Pradesh state education department has decided to introduce the State Brilliance Awards for the top three performers from government schools and colleges in Class 10 and 12 examinations at state, district, and constituency levels as per Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s directives.
State education minister Botsa Satyanarayana said, “A total of 2,831 students, who scored the highest marks in Class 10 and intermediate exams will not only be felicitated, but rewarded with cash prizes on May 25, 27, and 31. This time, students including Zilla Parishad High Schools, government, municipal, AP Model, BC residential, AP residential, social
welfare residential, tribal welfare residential, Ashram schools, and KGBC schools were taken into consideration by the education department in awarding the cash prizes.
The first topper will get Rs 1 lakh, the second topper will get Rs 75,000, and the third topper will get Rs 50,000 at the state-level program on May 31.
At the district level, the top three students will receive Rs 50,000 for first rank, Rs 30,000 for second rank, and Rs 10,000 for third rank, along with a medal & certificate on May 27. The top three rankers in the constituencies will receive Rs 15,000, Rs 10,000, and Rs 5,000 cash incentives along with medals on May 25.
