Hyderabad: The Army Recruitment Rally under the unit headquarters quota is set to take place at Thapar Stadium, AOC Centre, Secunderabad, from July 8 to September 8. The Army will recruit Agniveers for general duty (GD), tech, office assistant/SKT (AOC ward only), tradesmen 10th standard, and outstanding sportsmen (open category). Candidates for the sportsmen category are required to report at the Thapar Stadium by 6 am on July 5 for sports trials. Those who have represented at the national or international levels in athletics, track and field events, swimming, diving and weightlifting are eligible.

passed Class 10th with 45 per cent marks in aggregate and 33 per cent in each subject. Preference will be given to candidates with a valid light motor vehicle driving licence for driver roles. Tech candidates should have passed Intermediate or equivalent with physics, chemistry, maths, and English, achieving at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate and 40 per cent in each subject.

For Agniveer office assistant/SKT, candidates must have passed 10+2 in any stream with 60 per cent marks in aggregate and at least 50 per cent in each subject. Securing 50 per cent in English and maths/accounts/book-keeping in Class XII is mandatory. For Agniveer Tradesmen (10th Std), candidates must have passed Class 10 with a simple pass (33 per cent), and for Agniveer tradesmen (8th Std), a simple pass (33 per cent) in Class 8 is required.
