Assam government decision to make admission to universities, colleges and higher secondary schools within the state free came as a relief for several students and parent . The Assam Education Minister on Sunday i.e. June 7, 2020, said that admission to various to universities, colleges and higher secondary schools are going to be free during the present school year to make sure there's no additional burden on parents already suffering from the coronavirus lockdown. The minister further added that there'll be no hidden costs.
A day after the declaration of the SEBA Assam HSLC Results 2020, while lecture the media, the minister said,
"Students from the upper secondary to the postgraduate level, including medical, engineering and polytechnic students, are going to be admitted to institutes for free of charge .”
Students must know that the prospectus and admission forms are going to be free and available online.
According to the official tweet by ANI, “Assam Govt has made all admissions — from HS upto PG level including medical, engineering, polytechnic for tutorial year 2020-21, absolutely free.Under stress due to #COVID19, this shall be an enormous relief to families. All prospectus are going to be free: State Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.”
