New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will hold exams for class 10 and 12 students in this month. In a big relief to diabetic students appearing for class 10 or 12 board exams, the CBSE said Type 1 diabetic candidates will be allowed to carry eatables to the examination centre.

The CBSE has issued a circular and said the students suffering from Type 1 diabetes and are appearing for class 10 and class 12 board exams can carry any of the following eatables with them to the examination



centre:

Sugar tablets/chocolate/candy
Fruits like banana/apple/orange
Snack items like sandwich
Small bottle of water (500 ml)
To get the facility, students will have to submit a certificate from diabetic specialist along with full diabetic history, nature of their diabetes and the need for snacks during the examination. 

The principal of the school where the student is studying will forward these details to CBSE after which they will be permitted to carry eatable, said the circular.
