The CBSE board exams for class 10th and 12th begin from today. A total of 16.38 lakh candidates have registered for class 10th examination this year, while 11.86 lakh candidates have registered for class 12th. The class 10th exam will be conducted at over four thousand centres across India and 78 centres outside India.
Similarly, for class 12th, the exam will be held at over four thousand centres in India and 71 centres abroad. The Board has made appropriate arrangements with state authorities and local police to ensure trouble-free examinations throughout the
country.
Candidates suffering from diabetes are allowed to carry eatables inside the examination centres. From this year, CBSE is also allowing candidates with special needs to write their exams using laptops but their device will have to undergo an inspection by the computer teacher at the exam centre and no Internet access will be allowed.
President Ram Nath Kovind has extended his wishes to the students appearing for exams. In a tweet, Mr Kovind said, he is confident that their hard work, focused preparations and honesty of effort will take them far.
