The CBSE Class 12 board exams 2021 have been cancelled after the meeting today chaired by PM Narendra Modi. The CBSE Class 12 results will be made as per a well-defined objective criteria in a time-bound manner, much like the decision made in April for the CBSE Class 10 board exams 2021.

PM Modi said that the decision on the Class 12 CBSE board exams had been taken in the interest of students due to the uncertain situation created due to the pandemic.

A review meeting was held on Tuesday from 5:30 pm to discuss the fate of the CBSE and other state board exams amidst the Covid-19 situation. Officials gave a detailed presentation on the wide and extensive

consultation held so far and views received from all stakeholders, including the state governments.

"The health and safety of our students is of utmost importance and there would be no compromise on this aspect," PM Modi said.

He said that the anxiety among students, parents and teachers due to the possibility of the CBSE board exams must be put to an end.

He said that in today’s time, such exams cannot be the reason to put our youth at risk.

"Students should not be forced to appear for exams in such a stressful situation," said the PM, adding that all stakeholders need to show sensitivity for students.
