Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced that the Government of India is investing Rs 1000 crore to set-up 200 new TV channels to provide underprivileged youth in remote and backward areas access to quality education. The union education minister made the announcement while inaugurating the new computer centre and e-classroom building of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hamirpur. He went on to remark that there will soon be one
channel for each class in every language of India.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan took to Twitter to announce the setting up of 200 new TV channels.
His Tweet read, “GoI is investing over 1,000 crores to create 200 new TV channels for ensuring access to quality education for underprivileged youth in remote and backward areas. Soon we will have one channel for every class in every language of India.”
