Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, during an interaction with school principals from across Delhi, announced that the nursery school admission procedure will commence soon in the education instituted of the national capital.
This year, the nursery admission process was delayed in school in Delhi due to the uncertainty caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. The schools in Delhi were shut down in March 2020 to prevent physical interaction between the students.
Today, CM Arvind Kejriwal conducted an interaction with the principals and authorities of private schools in
Delhi, where he stated, “We will soon begin nursery admission. The process was delayed this year due to the pandemic.”
This year, the schools in Delhi have been closed for the majority of the academic year. The government of the national capital has decided to reopen the schools for senior classes in January and February in view of the upcoming board exams.
Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia, while addressing this issue, said, “As of now, there is no plan to scrap nursery admissions this year. We are late this year in issuing notification but it will happen.”
