Chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Sunday announced recruitment of 9,200 panchayat raj secretaries.
Of 12,751 villages, as many as 3,562 panchayats currently have regular secretaries. So recruitment will be taken up for 9,200 gram panchayats including the newly-created panchayats and to fill vacancies in existing panchayats.
The chief minister told officials to ensure that the recruitment
process commence in a week and is completed within two months. Whether the village is a small or a big panchayat, every village should have a panchayat raj secretary whose basic aim would be to take the village towards progress and development, said KCR.
The 9,200 panchayat raj secretaries would be kept under probation for three years and regularized based on their performance.
