Amid the continuing increase in COVID-19 cases, the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) announced on Saturday that the practical exams will be postponed.
The interim council has made it clear that the postponed exams will be taken after the theory exam, i.e. from 29 May to 7 June 2021.
Syed Omer Jaleel, commissioner of TSBIE and secretary, said in a release, 'Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the practical examinations for general and vocational courses held from 7 April to 20 April have been postponed and
will be conducted after the theory examination.'
The theory exams are offered between 1 May and 20 May for first- and second-year students.
The Council for Intermediate Education (TSBIE) had earlier announced that two subjects, Ethics and Human Values and Environmental Education for the first half year, would be held in ‘commissioned work from home’ instead of physical examinations.
Every year exams are written in the first week of March. Due to the covid-19 pandemic exams were postponed by about two months.
